ST. LOUIS – Apr. 4, 2025 – Dynamic Transit Fleet Expansion continues in 2025 with the addition of 100 new Peterbilt 579 trucks, reinforcing our commitment to safety, driver comfort, and sustainability. These new trucks are equipped with cutting-edge technology, improving both the driving experience and customer service.
“The industry and world are changing, and we have to evolve with it,” says Fred Khani, former driver and CEO of Dynamic Transit. “This new fleet is a significant step forward towards embracing new technology and improving our operations”.
Continued Investment in Our Current Fleet and Smooth Operations
In addition to the new trucks, Dynamic Transit will continue to maintain and upgrade the current fleet of over 200 Peterbilt 389s.
“As a company, we have traditionally operated manual transmission trucks because that’s what our drivers have preferred”, Khani continued. “As a truck driver myself, I understand the appeal of the classic hoods and manual transmissions. But these new automatics will open our fleet up to a younger generation of drivers who prefer the modern style and comfortable ride while giving us the flexibility to evolve with the industry’s changing needs”.
Prioritizing Driver Comfort and Efficiency
Dynamic Transit recognizes that a comfortable driver is a more productive and satisfied driver. Our latest fleet upgrades include driver-focused amenities designed to make life on the road easier and more enjoyable which include:
- Improved conveniences like prewired inverters for ample power outlets, electric Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and Webasto bunk heaters for climate control without idling, built-in refrigerators, and solar panels to extend the use of these amenities without needing the engine to idle.
- The 80-inch Ultra Loft Sleepers offer 8-feet of headroom, the largest mattresses in the industry, and a spacious comfortable environment for drivers. This space accommodates up to a 32-inch TV and a 1.1 cubic-foot microwave; making long hauls more enjoyable. These cabs offer double bunks, which are designed for both solo and team drivers, and provide additional storage and space, especially for drivers with families or travel companions.
- Upgraded Telematics systems that offer additional safety features and 11-inch dash-mounted tablet devices equipped with unlimited mobile data and modern tools to elevate the experience for all employees, drivers, and customers. These systems improve the driver’s experience while offering more accurate tracking and load information to our customers.
“These new trucks represent more than just an upgrade. They’re an investment in our drivers” says Fred. “By providing industry-leading equipment, we continue to attract and retain the best talent and provide reliable, high-quality service to our customers. “Fred explains.
Driving Toward a Sustainable Future
Dynamic Transit is taking a significant step toward sustainability by incorporating solar panels and electric APUs in all 579 trucks. These features will reduce idle time and fuel consumption, allowing for battery-powered operations without running the diesel engine. This means quieter, more efficient trucking with fewer emissions and reducing our carbon footprint, especially with industry shifting to more sustainable solutions.
“By improving fuel efficiency each truck is projected to save approximately 3,750 gallons of fuel per year—a substantial impact on both cost savings and environmental responsibility,” says Fred.
Dynamic Transit remains committed to growing its environmental footprint while maintaining its high-performing standards.
